Detailed Program Description "Founded in 1984, the Wilmington Treatment Center is a private inpatient drug and alcohol rehab located in North Carolina. Wilmington Treatment Center also operates outpatient rehabilitation facilities in Shallotte, NC, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At Wilmington Treatment Center, we believe that alcoholism and drug addiction are treatable diseases with physical, behavioral, psychological, social and spiritual components. Successful recovery encompasses several changes, including improvement in self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, improvement in family interaction, vocational productivity, the establishment and attainment of realistic life goals and a healthy lifestyle. Our treatment programs focus on personal growth in recovery and are supported by a 12-step philosophy. Wilmington Treatment Center offers different levels of care designed to maximize the strengths of each person, including detox (using methadone, Suboxone or other medications, as necessary), inpatient drug rehab, day treatment, outpatient treatment and aftercare. We offer individualized treatment plans that incorporate the 12-Step principles, relapse prevention planning, medical services and a range of therapies. Addiction is a disease that affects the entire family. For this reason, we offer a comprehensive two-day family program and encourage the family and friends of our patients to participate."

i'm afraid to think about where I'd be if I hadn't found this place. Thankful for the staff who really went above and beyond for me. I've been sober almost 8 months now and would recommend this rehab to anyone, but you have to want to be helped otherwise what's the point

At first I was skeptical but I was going for recovery, not for vacation. I found that once I opened my mind and my ears I learned a lot and the staff was great. This place gave me exactly what I needed, not What I wanted and for that I will be eternally grateful.

I have a lot of respect for the staff at WTC. It's tough to minister to such a diverse array of addicts. I am alcoholic and had never been exposed to persons with drug addictions. It was an eye opener for me. The counsellors were amazing. I believe that is due in part to their own recovery journeys. I met so many patients who were struggling as I was with alcoholism. It was comforting to fellowship with them, especially at the end of the day when we were back at the house. The curriculum was well crafted to meet the needs of each demographic. One of the highlights of my day was the bible study group. It was the perfect way to begin the day by centering myself spiritually. I am grateful that WTC was there when I most needed this level of support in my recovery. Thank you and God Bless.
